Please note: Shipping Profiles are shared across the A.C. Moore Marketplace, the Zibbet Marketplace and Stitch (if you have these sales channels turned on).
Every product within your A.C. Moore Marketplace must be linked to a Shipping Profile. This profile can be thought of as a shipping rates card, that can simply be re-used for any similar products that have the same shipping rate. You can create as many shipping profiles as you want and when listing your products, you can just select the appropriate shipping profile from the dropdown.
There's 2 ways to setup your Shipping Profiles:
- Via the "Shipping profiles" management page
- When listing a new product
1. Via the "Shipping profiles" management page
In your Zibbet Admin, click the A.C. Moore Marketplace icon on the left-hand navigation. A secondary navigation panel will appear.
Click on "Shipping profiles".
On this page, you can manage your Shipping Profiles:
- Create new shipping profiles
- Edit a shipping profile
- Delete a shipping profile (if it has no active items associated with it)
In the top right-hand corner of this page you'll see a green button that reads, "Create shipping profile". There's also a blue "Create Shipping Profile" link under the table.
Click either of those and you'll see a modal where you can create a new Shipping Profile.
2. When listing a new product
When listing a product on the A.C. Moore Marketplace sales channel, you'll see a "Shipping Profile" attribute on the page.
Simply select an existing shipping profile from the dropdown, or "Create a New Shipping Profile" and you'll see the same shipping profile creation modal above.
What is "Everywhere else"?
“Everywhere else” is the shipping rate for every other country that you don’t specify. Leave this blank if you don’t want to ship “everywhere else”.
What is "One item" vs "Each additional item" shipping rates?
“One item” is the shipping cost if the buyer only purchases 1 item from your shop. “Each additional item” is the shipping cost if the buyer buys more than one item from your store. Generally, your “Each additional item” shipping rate is lower than your "One item" shipping rate. This is to incentive your shoppers to add more to their order.
Your shopper adds 3 of your products to their shopping cart:
- Item 1 is $6 for one item and $3 for each additional item
- Item 2 is $4 for one item and $2 for each additional item
- Item 3 is $10 for one item and $5 for each additional item
This is how we calculate the final shipping price:
We take the product with the highest "One item" shipping price out of all the products, then all the "Each additional item" prices are added onto it. In the case of two products with the same highest "Each additional item" the system will then choose the product with the higher "Each additional item"’ shipping price. If both are exactly the same, one or the other will be chosen arbitrarily as the primary shipping rate.
In the scenario above, where the shopper has added 3 products to their shopping cart, the total shipping price would be: $10 (highest "One item" price) + $3 + $2 = $15.00.
